Swiss Eight Day Carriage Clock with Alarm, in original leather
A good Swiss carriage clock with alarm, striking on a bell, made around 1900.
With brass casing and bevelled glass; visible platform escapement; enamel dial marked “Genève” with hand painted Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm dial.
With the original leather travelling case and a key.
Backplate adjustment arbours are stamped “Aiguilles” (Hands) and “Aig le Reveil” (Alarm Hand), numbered 1790.
13cm high, excluding handle.
A very attractive and good sized piece in excellent condition. The clock has been stripped, cleaned and lightly lubricated. It runs well and keeps good time.
