Papier Maché Lady’s Writing Slope.

A very decorative 19th Century papier maché lady’s writing slope by Jennens and Bettridge.
It is intricately painted and gilded, with engraved silver hinges and lined with fuchsia pink silk .
The interior has many compartments in two layers.
It would equally make a good jewellery box.
In very good original condition with the original key. Circa 1870-1880
