Italian Table Lamp in Gilt Brass and Bronze

An early 20th Century very ornate and attractive Italian table lamp.

The column is made from gilt brass with carved foliage and a pair of bronze putti which give the appearance of supporting an urn.

Two fish like creatures protrude from the urn and support the shade.

The shade is made from the original silk which we have cleaned.

The lamp overall has the gilt brass original components and no modern extras.

It is heavy and stable weighing 2.3 kgs. A really charming and beautifully made piece and ready to use. Circa 1900-1910.
