Pair of Regency Giltwood Wall Sconces, ca 1820

French Eight Day Carriage Clock in Hexagonal Case

A rather splendid French 8 day carriage clock with an unusual hexagonal case and painted and enamelled side panels decorated with putti.

The clock dates back to the early 1900’s and is in excellent condition. It weighs 1.6kgs and is slightly bigger than the average carriage clock.

The clock has been stripped, cleaned and lightly lubricated, is running well and keeping good time.

The front, top and rear door bevelled glass panels are in good order with no chips or cracks. The four decorated painted porcelain side panels are also in good order. The dial face is clean, without cracks or scratches.

The unusual stepped base and decorative top and bottom friezes give a sense of solidity and quality.

A very attractive clock, complete with key.
