Fitted and lined Rosewood Jewellery Box.

A very lovely and early rosewood jewellery box with brass cross banding, a vacant cartouche and a working key.
The fitted and lined tray inside has separate compartments for jewellery and rings.
The tray may be removed to reveal the lined space below which would accommodate larger pieces of jewellery.
The green velvet lining is original and in good condition commensurate with age.
I resisted re-lining the box and so gently cleaned the original material.
