Pair of Regency Giltwood Wall Sconces, ca 1820
Pair of Grand Tour Oils on Canvas depicting Venetian Scenes
A pair of Grand Tour oils on canvas, depicting St Marks Square in Venice and the Bridge of Sighs.
They have been later but sympathetically framed.
The condition of both is good with no paint losses. They are indistinctly signed.
I bought these a long time ago as a young antique dealer from the daughter of the lady who had been on the Grand Tour as a young girl. They were part of her estate. I never wanted to sell them before, but I’m running out of wall space! Circa 1890-1900
The measurements include the frames. They look well either wall hung or on small easels.
