A beautifully constructed late Georgian satinwood and rosewood inlaid writing box with a tambour lid which slides back when the drawer is pulled open.
The top of the box is decorated with an inlaid image of a conch shell.
It contains three original inkwells and the original key bears a silver tag with the inscription “Little Inlaid Desk ”
In very good original condition with the tambour lid sliding easily. Circa 1800
