Pair of Regency Giltwood Wall Sconces, ca 1820

Austrian Cold Painted Bronze Pug Inkwell, in the Style of Bergman

A late 19th Century Austrian cold painted bronze novelty inkwell in the form of a pug dog. The head is hinged to reveal an ink well.
Stamped “Geschutzt” (meaning protected or original, a mark often used by Franz Bergman: 1861 – 1936). This piece could well be a Bergman but there are no other marks.
Some paint has rubbed off and reveals the bronze base.
Apart from this its in good condition and has a lot of appeal.
He’s gorgeous actually!
