A good floral relief Carved oak twin pedestal desk in very good original condition with a tooled red leather insert surface.
The nine drawers are intricately carved with foliage and with “Green Man” mask carved handles.
Raised on bun feet with casters. A particularly good example of this type of desk,
“The Green Man” is a pagan symbol from Celtic and other European cultures of the underlying life-force and the renewed cycle of growth each spring.
Circa 1890.
