Rosslyn Chapel (featured in The Da Vinci Code) is situated on the hill just above Roslin Castle. Formerly known as the Collegiate Chapel of St Matthew, it is a 15th-century chapel located in the village of Roslin, Midlothian, Scotland. Rosslyn Chapel was founded on a small hill above Roslin Glen as a Catholic collegiate church in the mid-15th century.<\/p>\n
It is reputed to be painted by Robert Woodley Brown who was an active artist from 1840-1860.<\/p>\n
The painting has been finely painted with skilful use of light which gives it great atmosphere.<\/p>\n
The original Rococo style gilt frame has a few losses but this doesn’t take away from the overall charm of the painting at all and is not noticeable. \u00a0\u00a0The painting itself is in very good condition.
