\nIn excellent condition, it depicts a reposing female nude modelled in relief .\u00a0There is an apochriphal “R LALIQUE” stencil on the inside of the cover.<\/p>\n
This is a lovely example of the work of Heinrich Hoffman.<\/p>\n
Heinrich Hoffmann<\/strong> (1875 \u2013 1939) and Henry Schlevogt<\/strong> (1904 \u2013 1984) were relatives and both artists, from North Bohemia who worked in continuity, sometimes with the same design molds. These molds were all exclusively pressed by the powerful family glassworks of Josef Riedel established in Polaun (Polubn\u00fd).<\/p>\n Hoffman opened a shop selling glass jewellery in Paris in the early 1900s.
