A set of 6 silver plated pans convertible to serving dishes by removing the wooden handle

Each pan has a domed silver plated lid and a silver plated removable separator within th pan

Manufacture by Walker and Hall, Sheffield who were pioneers in silver plating technology

All in excellent condition, no dents or losses.

Walker & Hall were Sheffield Makers specialising in silver and silver plate from the mid 1800’s. They focussed on developing silver plating technology and became one of the largest manufacturers and retailers from the late Victorian to the first half of the 20th Century.

They originally traded as Walker & Co but when Henry Hall became a partner with George Walker in 1848 they were renamed Walker, Coulson & Hall then eventually became Walker & Hall in 1853. Walker & Hall were taken over by Mappin & Webb in the 1960’s.
